Erin Jones-Wesley is the Winningest Pitcher in
Long Beach State Softball History…

In her junior year of high school, the year before she would pitch her first perfect game, Erin signed her letter of intent to attend California State University, Long Beach on a full-ride scholarship for the NCAA DI softball team. Her mother and father met at CSULB when her dad was a shortstop on the Long Beach State NCAA DI Baseball team in the early 80s, so she carried on the tradition. In four years at Long Beach State Erin threw three no-hitters and become the LBSU career pitching leader in strikeouts, wins, and appearances, statistics she still holds today.

Despite wearing jersey number 1 throughout her high school and travel career, Erin chose to wear jersey number 10 (the same as her dad while at Long Beach) during her career at LBSU. Erin received her BA in Communication Studies from CSULB. Erin played professional and semi-professional softball internationally in Canada, Denmark, and Bulgaria. Erin pitched for the Danish Horsholm Barracudas in the European Fastpitch World Cup in Bulgaria where she pitched a perfect game and lead her team to have a franchise-best, third place.

Erin has been an ESPN3/Big West Conference softball analyst since 2017, and has been involved in non-profit work to support urban youth since 2014 working with Major League Baseball, the Natasha Watley Foundation, Dodgers Foundation, and co-founding her own non-profit, The 42 Initiative. Through the work of The 42 Initiative’s “Fix the Field” and “OneGlove” campaigns, Erin was able to support the revival of the Inglewood Little League in the Spring of 2020. Erin has built a community of softball fans through Tiktok.
