Our podcast combines thoughtful analysis and humor to examine Meghan Markle’s life, media presence, and Netflix series through the lens of Southern California culture. As Black girls from PWIs and SoCal natives, we (Danielle and Erin) bring a distinct perspective, informed by our shared cultural and regional experiences, to relate to and critique Meghan’s public persona. Having both been on the "pageant pretty girl in LA" path, we understand the nuances of Meghan’s journey and bring a lived experience to our perspective. In each episode, we revisit and analyze a specific installment of her Netflix series, sharing our unique SoCal and cultural insights to explore who we think Meghan truly is. We conclude by distilling one quality about Meghan we find relatable and connecting it to broader conversations about identity, media, and self-perception.
